Barry Gill, Andy King and Brian Barker were asked by The Rover P6 Club if they would like to form a North East branch and organise a Rover Rally in the area.

Beamish Museum were contacted and 16th May was penciled in the diary.  So it was all hands to the pump.  We had to organise the rally in 4 to 5 months and pray for good weather.

Barry’s sister in law Janet Thompson was co opted to do the paper work ably assisted by her husband Raymond and son Gareth, as they had organised previous rallies.
